Overview
AREWA, which stands for ADA Retired Employees Welfare Association, is a registered society under the Government of Karnataka. It was formed in January 2022 by a group of retired employees of the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) with the aim of providing a platform for retired ADA employees to come together and address issues related to their welfare. ​
The association is guided by an Ad-hoc Executive Committee (AEC) of eleven retired ADA employees. The AEC holds regular online meetings to discuss various activities of AREWA and take decisions through consensus.
AREWA has formed several sub-committees, including the Membership, Legal, Pension, and Audit Committees, to focus on specific areas of work. The sub-committees have been instrumental in ensuring that the work of AREWA is carried out efficiently and effectively.​
The association has been actively pursuing pension-related activities for the benefit of eligible retired ADA employees. AREWA submitted a joint representation letter to DG-ADA regarding the implementation of CCS Pension to pre-2004 ADA retired employees. AREWA has also undertaken a membership drive to increase its membership base. The membership drive was initiated , and by the end of June 2022, AREWA could muster the support of 130 retired ADA employees as lifetime members of the Association.
Overall, AREWA provides a transparent platform for retired ADA employees to come together, address issues related to their welfare, and work towards their betterment.

Our Objectives
AREWA is dedicated to serving retired ADA employees with a comprehensive set of objectives. Our primary aim is to establish a strong and supportive community that fosters connection and provides valuable resources. We prioritize the welfare of our members by advocating for their pension rights and working towards the improvement of pension schemes. We also strive to enhance medical facilities and access to quality healthcare services, including improvements in the ADA Contributory HeaService Scheme (CHSS), for our members. Recognizing the importance of their well-being, we are committed to ensuring that retired ADA employees have access to affordable and reliable healthcare options. Additionally, we provide valuable support programs and services that address the specific needs and challenges faced by retired professionals. Our overarching objective is to create a nurturing environment that fosters solidarity, empowers individuals, and enhances the overall quality of life for retired ADA employees.
